FOR THE BEST RESULTS, EMBRACE REPETITION. EMBRACE IT ISN’T ALWAYS FUN.

Fitness is a bit like broccoli and chicken for dinner: Not that exciting, but healthy and useful for your body.

The same way your body needs things like protein, Vitamin D and iron when it comes to fitness and simply thriving in life, your body wants and needs to be able to push, pull, squat, hinge and carry. And having a strong core helps, too.

Literally, if all you did were squats, deadlifts, push-ups, ring rows and some midline work, you could get pretty damn fit!

But alas, that person on Instagram was walking on their hands and lifting heavy weight over their heads, and that looks pretty cool. I want to do that!

Ah yes, the sexy movements. They’re hot and tempting, for sure. That being said, they’re not always useful, especially if they’re out of your realm. Like if you don’t have the mobility to get your hands over your head without extending your spine, chances are putting weight overhead or doing handstands isn’t ideal for the sake of your shoulders and back.

I digress:

The bottom line is: Our goal for you is to be fit and healthy long-term, and we think that’s your goal, too. To chip away week-after-week, month-after-month, year-after-year to consistently improve your fitness. And as the saying goes, nothing worthwhile comes easy. It’s not easy, and it’s not sexy, and like chicken and broccoli, it might be a little boring at times. But future you is going to thank you for it.

So embrace the bore, knowing it’s going to get you where you want to be. Not just next month, but long term.
