MADLAB SENIOR STRENGTH INFO SESSION.
Physical activity has an incredibly protective effect on the aging body and brain.
One may find themself thinking about this, especially when visiting with their aging parents.
They’re often slowing down. They’re less active, losing muscle, and becoming frailer.
Sadly, this tends to be the way of things.
But we can’t help but think that if they lived in Vancouver and started training with us at Madlab in their early 50s or even 60s, they’d be much fitter, healthier and more robust than they are now. It is well known that strength training, mobility work, balance training, and aerobic conditioning can dramatically improve age-related decline. With this in mind, we’ve decided to develop a program specifically designed for seniors at Madlab.
Long-time Madlab coach extraordinaire Andrew Swartz recently teamed up with a Ph.D. in age-related physical training to create a specific program for our community: Senior Strength is tailored for semi-active adults, mostly in the 60+ range. These adults typically need to improve their overall strength and fitness to prepare for life as a senior citizen. Senior Strength is designed to help slow age-related physical decline and improve quality of life through strength training, mobility work, balance training and aerobic conditioning.
Madlab will be holding a free information session describing the program and why it is so beneficial to age powerfully.
If you have anyone in your life who you think could benefit from a program like this, please share the event link below, email them, or pick up the phone and get them to attend our free information session:
