Simply put, Andy is dissatisfied with the current state of the health and fitness industry.
Current research suggests that of those participating in a fitness or strength training program/protocol:
20% can be considered non-responders, meaning, regardless of effort, this group doesn't improve.
63% are normo-responders. This group gets better with effort
17% fall into the super-responders group. These guys see tremendous results with relatively little effort.
Andy is striving for better. His goal is to turn non-responders into normos. And to turn normos into super-responders.
This quest often leads Andy down some pretty strange avenues (like assessing an athlete's cerebellar function, using a balloon to strengthen a diaphragm, or a pencil to train visual and vestibular systems etc.) to unlock performance.
“Don't get me wrong; I'm all for throwing the barbell around and leaving a puddle of sweat on the ground. But if we can put 20 lbs. on an athlete's deadlift by sorting out a vestibular issue with a couple of head tilts, I say why not.”
After more than 20 years in this field—with more questions than answers—Andy is still working on his grand-unifying theory of all things health and fitness. Here’s what he knows so far.

Now you’re ready to start group training alongside some great people. Your coach for life will keep you on track with regular 1 on 1s, but the social environment, the community and the friends you make will give you a different sort of push and will help you reach new heights of fitness.
